HAZWOPER

(Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response)

Southland Safety offers 8-hr, 24-hr, and 40-hr HAZWOPER courses to train responders of all levels, from First Responder Awareness, to On-Site Incident Commander; in addition, our 8-hr class can also serve as an annual refresher to responders of all levels. Our classes will cover all of the following:

• Emergency Response Plans

• The responder levels and the responsibilities of each

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• Decontamination (to various degrees)

• Confining and controlling a release

• Evacuation techniques

• Exposure Prevention

• Cleanup
